Organization
With focusMT, the structure of an organization can be mapped transparently in a central location. This can be the organizational structure or a network structure.
It is not necessary to map the entire organization when starting with focusMT. It is sufficient to map the relevant nodes in the first step.
Organization overview
- Navigate via the menu to Organization > Manage org units.
In this overview, an organization is displayed as a structure tree.
The Date filter controls the period for which you want to display the organization. Organizations change regularly. For this reason, the organizational structure in focusMT is always managed by time period.
By selecting a different time period, structures from the past or future structures can also be displayed.
Create org unit
- Navigate via the menu to Organization > Manage org units.
- Click on the button Add.
When "Adding", there is only a little information that is absolutely necessary. This is the parent org unit and the name of the new org unit. The remaining fields are optional and can contain descriptive information.
If no validity period is specified, the new org unit is valid indefinitely. Click on the Save button to create the org unit.
Edit org unit
- Navigate via the menu to Organization > Manage org units.
- Click on the org unit to be edited in the structure
- Click on the button Edit.
- Enter all the information about the org unit
- Click on the Save button.
Delete org unit
- Navigate via the menu to Organization > Manage org units.
- Click on the org unit to be edited in the structure
- Click on the Edit button
- Click on the Delete button
- Confirm the deletion process with the Delete button.
Assignment of employees
Employees can be added to a node in the organizational structure.
If an employee does not appear in the selection list, they must first be created via employee management.
Note: Only active employees are displayed in the employee list, not employees who have left the organization.
Manage employees
- navigate via the menu to Organization > Manage employees.
Employees can be added, changed or deleted in this dialogue.
There are three roles in focusMT:
- Without account: Employee has no access to focusMT. No licence is charged for this employee. However, the employee can be defined as the person responsible for targets or KPIs.
- Standard: Employee has access to focusMT. A licence is charged for this employee. This employee can view and edit focusMT content in accordance with their rights.
- Admin: Employee has full access to focusMT. A licence is charged for this employee. The admin can grant other employees access to focusMT. They can view and edit all focusMT content.
